The band may style themselves like the Gaslight Anthem, but they sound nothing like them. Having heard the band, but not seen them pictured, we were surprised they didn't have a girl in the line up.
The crowd were very excited to see them, though it thinned out and cooled a bit in the face of the constant mid- and between-song instructions to the mixing desk which disrupted the flow of the set. It was a real distraction for the audience and, whatever problems the band were dealing with, it seemed unprofessional and impolite to saddle the audience with them.
The singer had a really great stage presence and appealing manner, which won them through despite the mixing moaning.
Their 90s trip hop and rap influenced pop was enjoyable on a warm evening, and the people in the audience who stayed enjoyed the shoe, especially a strong closing Sweater Weather.
