Blitzen Trapper, Paste party, Stage on Sixth, Austin, 15 March 2012,SXSW 2012

Blitzen Trapper generated a good classic 70s country funk sound, very reminiscent of The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynard and The Eagles. A couple of songs started as if they were going to be Sweet Home Alabama covers, others sounded quite Led Zepellin.

The first few songs were straight out rock, then there were a few acoustic ones. Furr was good, though a bit different to on the record. It felt more lived in. The crowd seemed to be most familiar with Furr and the other song the band played off the Furr album.
